erin & Ben's wedding

Philadelphia is my FAVORITE (American) city, and I'd move there in a heart beat if I could. There is so much beauty, diverse culture, and history within this city - that every where you go - Philly has endless gems to offer you. Think of a slower NYC, that's completely walkable and filled with lush greenery and brick buildings for days. (and also bomb food.)

The first look was at the 18th Century Garden in Philly, which is a registered National Park! It's absolutely GORGEOUS. As a southern Californian, I do not get to experience gardens even close to this caliber very often, let alone this green. On top of that, a storm was rolling through the city at record pace, and while we were met with a few sprinkles - we got the most beautiful cloud coverage to start off their first look. We then rounded out our portrait time at the Benjamin Rush Garden.

The venue - the Powel House - was built in 1765! The second owner, Samuel Powel, was the last mayor of Philadelphia under British rule. It's filled with colonial/revolutionary antiques - including a locket of George Washington's hair. It said to be haunted by Benedict Arnold's wife, but I can tell you that there no were ghost vibes - only happy ones of the people gathered to celebrate Erin & Ben's wedding. Every bit of the this day was absolutely wonderful.
